Cornell University Final year projects involving Microcontroller Design is archived online, with full reports including design, circuit diagram and theoretical background.
This is great news to all the electronics geeks. A repository of innovative projects and robots, this site sure proves to be a holiday project guide. Ok! Project using microcontroller. Could you be more specific. Everything under the sun uses micro controllers. But here are some eg: 1) Automated robots for scanning unknown surfaces and transmitting info 2) ANNs for speech recognistions 3) RFID etc.

I think the Project ‘LIGHTROVER’ made by Mr.David Shu [th243] & Mr.Theintu Ho[dhs25] is an excellent implementation of knowledge into practice.
I have been so much inspired by their project that I decided to make similar kind of project for my B.Tech final Year project. I have even started working on this project & have submitted the snopsis for it in my institute.
I am in a bit of trouble. Without the proper circuit designs of the project I am not able to implement the project in a comprehensive manner.
So can you help me as I don’t have the EMAIL ID’s of either Mr.David Shu or Mr.Theintu Ho.
I think I can really enhance my practical knowledge through this project if and only if

@ Projects relating micro controllers/ mu p:
1) Industrial appliance monitoring system. Like fluid rate, power etc.
2) Controlling home appliance and stuff like that.
3) Talking system/recognition etc. Have a mobile device and when you give a perticular command it would perform it.
4) Image processing stuff. Like segragating a pattern/object etc.
Communication and mu c:
1) link http and mu c for monitoring a system. If the sytem fails, then the micro controller detects and pass the info thro the internet.
2) Networking of mu c. Network a large number of micro controllers to form a psuedo intranet workability.

ACCIDENT ALERT SYSTEM
Abstract:
Currently all the automobile manufacturers are providing airbag features in the vehicles. When an accident happens airbag explodes and saves the driver and passenger from injuries. But it’s necessary to inform the accident to nearest hospital so that they can avail the ambulance services. The driver or the passenger may not able to make a call to seek help if they are unconscious. In those scenarios it’s necessary to alert the hospitals automatically. This project does that.
Accident will be detected by the vibration sensor. The current location of the vehicle will be decided based on the wheel movement from the origin. So when there’s an accident then the microcontroller fixed in the car will frame a data with the location and other details and then it will transmit the same using the transmitter attached. Based on the database it will decide to which hospital the alert should be raised.
After this, all the hospitals in that surrounding region will receive this data. From the data the receiver unit will find the alert is for that particular hospital or not. Alert will be raised on the nearest hospital. Then they can send the ambulance to the location which they got from the received data( They can see the location using the Software application running on a PC).

Ø The IR module can be replaced with GPS so that we can detect the exact location where the accident happened.

i am using AT commands for that.the command to send sms (AT+ CMGS)
terminates with
ctrl-Z.now in my program i hav tried all ways to send ctrl-Z at end of
my sms.but it takes this as
a character or string only.also i tried with ascii value of ctrl-Z but
of no use.
i am able to see the transmitted commands on hyper-terminal through
serial interface & also on serail window while debugging.
the commands are as follows with 2ms delay between each of them.
AT ,, AT+CMGS = mobile no. , “message to be sent ” ctrl-Z

now this depends on yopur interest … if you are interested in electronics part and coding then you can develop your project around microprocessors and microcontrollers.. these are really easy and interesting ones. 8051 is a popular mc and easily available, and u need to learnj KEIL s/w with is easy too
you cn also make device drivers if you have a good knowledge about LINUX coding
also you cn implements in communication protocols,
but its better to implement ur project with microcontrollers

Hello I´m traing to conect an ATMEL89C51 to ADC0804 and I´m having a lot of travel, can you help me with the circuit, ít´s for a robot with the capability to evade obstacles, also if you can help me in doing automaticly to change the velocity of my motors with a PWM insted of using a potentiometer the ATMEL has to choose some resistors to put insted of the potentiometer.

Sir, i am final year electronics and communication student.I am planning to do a project on OIL CONTENT DETECTOR based on microcontroller.
Oil content detector is developed by using AT89C51 microcontroller. The main theme of the project is to measure the purity of the water. The components involved are as follow
1. AT89C51-microcontroller
2. A glass tube
3. Crude Oil for the measurement
4. seven segment display
5. IR Transmitter and receiver
These are the major components that are used in this project.
WORKING:
The water is mixed with the crude oil and is pumped through the glass tube. Then the sensor will receive the intensity of the signal and the received signal is compared with predefined value that was already given to the microcontroller.
These are majorly used in ships and industries also sir, but my question is that i am from ECE background,can i do the project sir,i am in very different situation sir….please help me.As soon as possible,mail to me sir…everyone are starting the projects.

i am vishal student of MSc electronics final year, working on a project in which altitude has to be determined by using MS5540b sensor,89s52 microcontroller, which haas to be sent at a height, and using pressure and temp which will be sensed by the sensor will be given to the microcontroller which in turn do some calculation and provide the exact height, but the problem is sensor needs 3v and controller requires 5v.thus i need a solution
